Volvo Philippines proudly introduced the V90 Cross Country at the North Court of Power Plant Mall in Makati City. This will complete the brand's 90 Series vehicle lineup, composed of the S90 and XC90.
The V90 Cross Country's 'rugged, yet elegant' design includes a distinctive upright grille and LED headlights that are heavily inspired by the Concept Estate unveiled in 2014. The Swedish wagon also sports a high beltline, large wheels, and panoramic roof. Not to mention, it has Volvo's classic strong shoulders that extends to the rear. Another feature that the Cross Country wagon embodies is the increased ground clearance compared to the V90, which is 65 mm higher.

Behind its doors, the V90 Cross Country boasts Scandinavian luxury. Patterns of the interior stretches horizontally and around the cabin to give highlight to width and space. Buttons and switches were updated into touchscreen controls, and is complimented by the Black Walnut that is unique to Volvo models. The metal-finish air vent controls with vertical strip and diamond pattern accentuates the dash too.

On top of its design, the V90 Cross Country is integrated with Volvo's Drive-E Powertrain technology, which the company claims to provide low emission and better fuel economy without compromising the vehicle's performance. The V90 Cross Country has an adaptive all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain. Practically, power is distributed in the front wheels during dry conditions, but the system regularly calculates the need of power to be applied in the rear.

The Swedish wagon initially has a 2.0L in-line 4-cylinder twin turbodiesel engine for the local market. This is capable of 235 hp and 480 Nm of torque and is mated to an 8-speed AWD.
The Volvo V90 Cross Country is priced at P4,695,000.
