Changan Uni-T Overview
The Uni-T is a compact crossover SUV and is Changan's answer to the Philippine compact crossover SUV market. The Uni-T with its hyper-futuristic styling and premium tech offerings sets it in the sights of its similar rivals the Ford Territory and Geely Coolray. Though the competition is steep, the Uni-T offers a fresh exterior styling with aggressive cues from their Vision-V styling language, underneath 21-inch alloys. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.5 liter Blue Core Turbocharged Gasoline Direct injection (TGDi) paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) Electronic Shift sending 177 hp and 300 Nm of torque to its driven wheels.

The Uni-T and its bigger brother the Uni-K was initially launched in China in 2020 with the intent of heralding Changan's new and upbeat era of branding. Changan shared glimpses of the Uni-T at the Shanghai Auto Show with their Yuyue Concept. The Uni-T's appearance is based on the brand's Vision-V design language and is fitted with a hefty amount of technology, showing its focus on performance and luxury.
In the Philippines, Changan Motor Philippines Incorporated (CMPI) launched the Uni-T crossover alongside the Uni-K. Both models were brought in with the idea of creating a more upbeat and upscale line for Changan fans to choose from. The two models were showcased to the Philippine motoring media on December 2, 2022, in tandem with the grand reveal of CMPI's national headquarters in the country.

A 1.5 litre Blue Core Turbocharged Gasoline Direct injection (TGDi) power unit which delivers 177 horsepower serves as the Uni-T's beating heart. To deliver this power, the engine is paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) Electronic Shift with Normal, Eco, and Sport drive modes, allowing for a driving experience that can both be exciting and frugal.

The Uni-T boasts a vehicle system that can track its driver's condition with its fatigue and facial recognition system. The cabin also features a dual 10-25-inch, high-definition digital touchscreen, also a part of its entertainment system is a sound system produced by Sony with 6 speakers. The Uni-T also comes with a hands-free Auto Parking Assist (APA) along with voice-control for other functions such as the car's window controls, climate control, radio controls and for making phonecalls.

The Uni-T features aggressive styling all throughout the bodywork. The front grille and lights carry the Changan Vision-V styling language visible from the way ends of the grille and lights appear as arrows. The car completes its dominating look with massive 21-inch alloys.

The interior of the Uni-T is smooth and simple but does not skimp on tech, the dashboard and center console is a digital touchscreen that is divided for the instrument panel and the entertainment system. The analog controls on the front sit flush with the car's vents, keeping the lines of the interior smooth and unbroken and ultimately giving it a luxurious feel inside.

For its safety systems the Uni-T is equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which can achieve level 2 autonomous driving, Blind Spot Detection Warning, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Automated Emergency Braking (AEB), Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC) with Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC); Lane Departure Warning (LDW); Front Collision Warning (FCW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
