Comes with Subaru’s world-leading driver assist technology. Like a second pair of eyes for the road, it uses two stereo cameras to capture 3D color images with excellent image recognition, nearly as capable as human eye. Using images from both cameras to precisely determine the shape, speed, and distance, it not only detects vehicles but also mga motor, bisikleta, lola, bata, at mga aso. When spotting danger, it warns the driver and even applies the brakes if necessary to avoid an accident. It’s really like black magic, pero we feel much safer in this car because of it.

Looking for a new home for our XV now that it is out of warranty (2018 model, 2019 plate). We are now looking to purchase a new Crosstrek so we don’t have to worry about having to pay for unexpected out-of-warranty repairs at the casa but we will miss our XV.

Perfect also for someone looking to switch to Subaru brand but who is concerned about the high price of a new Crosstrek or Forester model. Or parents looking to gift their beloved teenage new drivers a car that they can feel secure in and that benefits from Subaru's Japanese ALL-AROUND SAFETY philosophy. Let's face it, we all stare down on phones or the Infotainment screen (scrolling through spotify to pick the next song) but how many times has this car noticed that I am approaching the car ahead too fast since I didn't notice it's sudden stuff. Three beeps and the XV caught my attention again, putting my eyes back on the road and allowing me to break. If I am already too late, the XV will even trigger the breaks and save me from a front collision (beware that the sudden stop could cause cars behind you to not be able to stop if they have been following you too closely). The car has been good to me and my wife over the last 5 and a half years, ample space for a married couple. Even fit our LG OLED TV. The AWD helps on wet and slippery roads during tropical storms.
Eyesight system has prevented probably 10 or more accidents in the last five years in Manila traffic, we can vouch for the safety features. Adaptive cruise control can even be used at low speeds in traffic on EDSA, allowing you to rest your foot when stuck in traffic.

Number Plate ends in “0” so Friday coding. Our regular daily commute is on C5 and SLEX between Pasig and Alabang. We are healthcare workers shuttling every day between The Medical City and Asian Hospital, even during the enhanced community quarantine and the pandemic, therefore the mileage is a bit high.
We bought the new unit from Brescia Motors Cainta in June 2019, got a nice discount but unfortunately I was not aware that this was a 2018 stock until I saw the invoice.
Casa maintained from July 2019-Feb 2024, copies of maintenance records are available, including any warranty claims while the 5 year warranty was still active.
Big warranty claim was in 2023 when the evaporator was replaced, other than that only minor claims like the door handle peeling.
Upgrades/Maintenance in 2024 to make sure the car runs well:
Replaced the CVT fluid (casa)
Battery replacement (Amaron)
Suspension parts (bushings, CV joint, Stabilizer Link, original Subaru parts, non-casa service)
Tires upgraded to new Bridgestones (Dueler H/L, 18 inch, 225, worth 50k)
Oil change (Ravenol German brand synthetic), oil filter and air cabin filter replacement
The issues buyer should be aware of are minor scratches and scruffs on the plastic bumpers, scratch on the paint of reserve tire, small dents on doors, and red indicator lights next to the shift knob no longer lighting up “D”, “R”, “N”, “P”. Also, there is a bit of knocking noise when having the wheel turned and going over uneven surfaces at higher speeds, Casa said it’s not a safety issue but the only way to fix it is to replace the EPS and shock absorbers. Subaru transmission chain can also be noisy when only lightly pressing the accelerator (especially when on an incline).
Other notable features:
