After months of countless unofficial photo teasers surfacing online, the wait is finally over. The all-new Toyota Innova is now available in the country. But do you know what you’ll be getting? Here is a rundown of everything you need to know about this famous MPV.
Bolder Exterior Design
One of the most noticeable upgrade you will be getting on the all-new Toyota Innova is its refreshing new design. The body is now more heavily sculpted combined with subtle aerodynamic elements. Toyota also re-designed the grille to create a more cohesive and luxurious design that aligns with the Japanese car manufacturer’s vision to be “the MPV designed for Multi-Performance.”
Another noteworthy upgrade are the LED headlamps with Daytime Running-Lights, shark fin antenna, and a stylish rear spoiler. The all-new Toyota Innova also got new shoes, 16” alloy wheels, to complement the makeover.
In addition to the standard color options which include Freedom White, Silver Metallic, Black, Blue Mica Metallic, and White Pearl, you can now get the all-new Innova in either Alumina Jade Metallic and Blackish Red Mica Metallic.
Push start with Keyless Entry and other Interior Changes
The bolder exterior design is not the only thing you will be getting. The all-new Innova sports a more luxurious interior design and features which is evident on the top of the line variants. The interior enhancements include captain seats for the second row, HD multi-information display, smart push start with keyless entry luxurious looking silver and wood grain pattern, practical seat back tables and even an adjustable mood light. If that’s too much for you, you can get other variants that come with a 1 touch tumble second row seats, as well as an easy space-up third row seats for maximum space and convenience.
2.8L Diesel Engine
Aside from the design, you will be also be getting better performance and fuel efficiency thanks to the engine upgrade. Under the hood of the all-new Innova is a 2.8L (with VNT) diesel engine. An alternative is 2.0 Dual VVT-I gas engine. For the transmission, you can get the all-new Innova with a new 6-speed Automatic Transmission or the enhanced 5-Speed Manual gearbox.
Vehicle Stability Control
The All-New Innova also boasts additional features for the driver and passengers’ safety. On top of the standard front and driver SRS airbags and knee airbags, the new Innova model now includes an Anti-Lock Brake System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and side and curtain airbags. For a smoother ride, you will enjoy its Vehicle Stability Control.
There is a price bump on the all-new Innova which we think is justifiable considering the enhancements you will be getting. So how much it costs? The base model, J Gas MT, goes for P919,000 while the top of the line variant, V DSL AT WP, is available for P1,460,00.
