The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), Chevrolet’s exclusive distributor in the Philippines, introduces a new variant of its Trailblazer midsize SUV. The American brand launched the new Chevrolet Trailblazer Phoenix in the 2019 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Augmenting the athletic style and lines of the current Trailblazer, the Phoenix displays even more masculinity with notable additions to its body.
Chevy gives its special edition a front hood decal, and side strip decals to add a little flare to this special edition. Adding to the style of the unit is the rear bumper scuff plate, matte black fender flares, matte black pillar decals, matte black rear spoiler, a matte black tailgate applique, as well as Chevy’s distinct black front and rear bowtie emblems.
The interior is not left to chance as well. It is met with a leather wrapped steering wheel with a suite of phone and audio controls on its spokes. Theatre style seating allows ample space for seven passengers, and things get more roomy for each row because the middle and back rows are reconfigurable to allow for more seating space or storage capacity for anything that will come this SUV
Chevy wouldn’t settle for the base engine it puts into its cars, instead opting for the 2.8L DURAMAX Diesel Engine. 200 HP with 500 Nm of torque led models with this particular set up to be previously nicknamed ‘King of Torque’ as it churns out numbers that are above the industry standard for mid-size diesel SUVs. There are two models up for consumers at this point. Only the 4x2 makes its way into the lineup. The power is coursed through a 6-speed automatic transmission with active select manual mode and Electric Power Steering (EPS), giving owners ease to control all the horses and lug around all the weight while puttering about either in the city or out of it.
A 7-inch touch screen with the Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment System comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other safety features include Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), ISOFIX Anchors, Reverse Camera, and Engine Immobilization technologies for peace of mind.
A 5-year or 100,000km warranty comes with a 3-year bumper to bumper warranty and is coupled with a 2-year warranty on the powertrain making ownership of this Chevy more worry free.
The Phoenix comes in seven colors. Take your pick from the selection comprising of, Pull Me Over Red, Summit White, Switch Blade Silver, Dark Shadow Metallic, Black Meet Kettle Metallic, Blue Me Away, and Oxford Metallica Brown.
Prices for the special edition start at P1,780,888 for the 4x2 LT AT variant with the extra additions.
