FAW Hongqi is debuting in the country real soon. EVOxTerra will be the brand’s official distributor in the Philippines.
The brand can trace its history back to 1958 when it was first established in China. With over 60 years of experience, Hongqi has a confidence-inspiring luxury lineup in the country which consists of limousines and SUVs. Being the choice of many high-ranking government officials, visiting heads of state, high-profile business moguls and magnates, and celebrities in China, the brand could find new ground and fans in our humble archipelago.
“We are extremely proud to bring this legendary car marque to the Philippines and let Filipinos finally experience for themselves the many reasons why Hongqi remains such an enduring international brand.”
On top of this, Delgado added that the partnership between EVOxTerra and Hongqi is further proof of his company’s commitment to promoting sustainability that brings fort progressive brands firmly entrenched in the future of mobility.
“We are very excited to finally enter the Philippine market and give Filipino car enthusiasts the Hongqi brand of utmost luxury, state-of-the-art design, and topnotch performance.”
“With the country well on its way to recovery from the pandemic, we think this is an excellent time to further expand Hongqi’s global footprint,” enthuses Robert Shaw, EVOxTerra Vice President, and General Manager. “Local customers are assured of the excellent after-sales support that EVOxTerra is known for. We are also inviting and looking forward to working with local partners and dealers who want to bring Hongqi to the rest of the country,” he adds.
The story of Hongqi and EVOxTerra actually started at the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit that was held in October last year. The show played host to Hongqi’s E-HS9 electric sport-utility vehicle. We can expect more from the brand in the coming months. There will be two lines to be made available in the country which include New Energy Vehicles (NEV), and an Internal Combustion Energy (ICE) line of models.
As for the brand’s showroom, there will be one opening very soon in BGC, so stay tuned for the latest developments of this luxury marque in the country.
