Ford Philippines recently announced their 2015 August Sales Report. Can you guess which cars people have been buying from Ford? Here’s a clue: It starts with an E.
With the continued increase in demand for EcoSport and Fiesta, Ford Ph proudly announced its 8% rise on their year-to-date sales with a total of 13,616 units sold – 1,484 units sold for August alone.
The EcoSport continues to be the top-seller, with August retail sales of 804 units, 55% higher than that of 2014. As of date, this compact SUV is at 5,770 units for 2015. Kay Hart, managing director of Ford Philippines, said that EcoSport surpassed their own expectations as its sporty design, smart technologies, and sensible value proposition continues to create its own spot in the market.
On the other hand, the sporty Fiesta also contributed to the boost in sales performance for August. With 166 units sold this month, its year-to-date sales is now at 1,033 units.
Despite success from the 2 models, Ford PH also announced a slight dip on their overall August sales compared to the previous year. This is due to the transition period needed for the new Ranger and the all-new Everest.
The Ford Ranger delivered 363 units for August, adding 10% to its year-to-date sales. They are confident that this will rise soon as customer deliveries will commence this month. With a number of upgrades added to it, the new Ranger will hit the roads and will turn heads with its new exterior design.
This goes with the all-new Everest as well. Delivery of units will kick off this month and as Hart puts it, “We are thrilled to have the Everest nameplate back in our showrooms, and we are confident that it will exceed our customers’ expectations.”
Ford Philippines will also launch their newest dealership in Puerto Princesa City this month. Ford Palawan will be their 39th dealership; a part of Ford's on-going expansion of its nationwide dealer network located at key locations across the country.
