Ford Philippines has maintained its promising 2017 performance as it reported to have grown its sales by 8% on a year-over-year (July 2016 to July 2017) basis. The American brand has punched in 2,973 units sold on its 2017 records, with the Everest, Ranger, and EcoSport models still unbeatable among its lineup.
"Strong demand for our full lineup of Ford vehicles is driving our continued momentum, especially for our biggest-selling nameplates including the Everest, Ranger, and EcoSport.”
Leading Ford's armada with 1,002 vehicles being sold, the Everest SUV buffed up its sales by 6% compared from last year. This drove the SUV's year-to-date (January to July 2017) sales to reach a 6,770 mark.
The Ranger pickup is the highest in terms of sales growth. It grew by 31% on a year-over-year point of scale with 916 units out of the dealers. On a year-to-date basis, the American pickup truck amassed 5,512 sales in total, or 18% more compared from the same period in 2016. The EcoSport crossover, on the other hand, accumulated 6,092 sold units over the course of July. This pushed the year-to-date sales up by 16%.
Meanwhile, the North American-built models also coined in with July's sales. The Explorer SUV is reported to have reached 85 sales, which drove its year-to-date record by 3% to 636 in total. The Mustang delivered 45 vehicle sales that boosted its year-to-date sales to 222 units, or 33% compared from the same period last year.
