Ford Philippines has achieved remarkable retail success in the first half of 2023, driven by the strong demand for its next-generation vehicle lineup. The company witnessed a substantial 55 percent increase in retail sales compared to the previous year, selling a total of 13,838 vehicles during this period. Key contributors to this impressive performance were the Next-Generation Ranger, Territory, and Everest models.
The Ford Ranger, in particular, emerged as the top-selling vehicle in the country, with a notable 25 percent year-on-year sales growth, selling 5,436 units. Launched as the smartest, most versatile, and capable Ranger ever, this Next-Gen pickup truck became highly popular among truck enthusiasts, attracting a significant customer base since its release last year. Additionally, the introduction of the much-anticipated Next-Generation Ranger Raptor further enhanced retail performance, with close to 600 units sold since its launch in late May. The Ranger Raptor boasts class-defining off-road engineering, advanced suspension, a commanding design, and smart technologies powered by the reliable 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel engine.
The Next-Generation Territory also contributed significantly to Ford's strong sales in the first six months of the year. As the leading small SUV in the country, it experienced a 22 percent sales increase, with 4,493 units sold. Only three months after its launch at the Manila International Auto Show, the Next-Gen Territory surpassed the impressive 2,500-unit mark. This 5-seater SUV attracts young professionals, new drivers, and small families with its combination of powerful performance, stylish design, premium interiors, and smart technologies.
Meanwhile, the Ford Everest continues to thrive in the competitive mid-size SUV segment, achieving remarkable sales growth of 503 percent compared to the previous year, selling 3,786 vehicles. The Next-Gen Everest remains a popular choice among Filipino consumers, known for its adventure-ready capability, exceptional comfort, and customer-focused technology that make it a rugged, refined, and fun-to-drive SUV.
To enhance the ownership experience for customers, the Next-Gen Ranger, Territory, and Everest come with a five-year warranty. Moreover, in the early part of the year, Ford Philippines introduced new service initiatives to provide ease and convenience in owning a Ford vehicle. The Express Service offers faster and more efficient vehicle maintenance, completed within a period of ninety (90) minutes. On the other hand, the Pickup and Delivery service is designed for customers who wish to have their Ford vehicle serviced without disrupting their day-to-day activities. Participating Ford dealers pick up the vehicles, service them, and then return them to the customers' preferred location.
With the success of the next-generation lineup and the introduction of customer-focused service initiatives, Ford Philippines has strengthened its position in the Philippine automotive market, catering to a wide range of customers seeking high-quality, technologically advanced, and reliable vehicles.
