Technicians from Ford Philippines recently took part in the 2nd annual Technical Skills Competition held at the Ford V.P. Auto Enterprise Service Center in Bangkok, Thailand. There, they went up against some of the best in the region and bagged several major awards.
Competing against other top technicians from 6 countries, Jessie Calumno from Ford Libis was crowned as the ‘Best Technician’. Meanwhile, George Palatic of Ford Libis and Mikhail Santos of Ford Global City ranked 3rd place for the QSS team competition. As for Alfred Delgado from Ford Global City, he bagged 3rd for the Individual Skills Competition.
I commend and congratulate Team Philippines for bringing home the major awards from the 2nd ASEAN Skills Competition. This win validates our team’s commitment to provide quality customer service skills and expertise for that overall Ford brand experience in every dealership nationwide,” said Margo Delfinado, Customer Service Director, Ford Philippines.
The 2nd annual Technical Skills Competition is comprised of 2 categories: Technical Skills and the Express Service category. Each team must have 2 participants from each country.
The Technical Skills category included teams from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, and the Philippines. Meanwhile, those who competed for the Express Service category were teams from Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia only.
This friendly competition aims to provide a building opportunity for technicians to test and enrich their skills. It also helps ensure that Ford’s global service standard of ‘Quality Care’ is being maintained throughout the ASEAN region by delivering its most efficient service to a growing customer base.
“Ford is committed towards continually evaluating and upgrading the skills and expertise of our technicians to effectively meet customer requirements and provide an enjoyable after-sales experience. Our technicians are instrumental in delivering superior customer satisfaction and we are confident that by continually upgrading their skills, we will continue to further enhance our customer service," said Derek Clatworthy, Regional Customer Service Director, Ford ASEAN.
On its 2nd year, the Ford Annual Technical Skills and Express Service Competition has provided a platform for technicians to compete and share their experiences, skills, and knowledge with other technicians across the region.
