Ford introduces a range of new colors for their popular vehicles.

Ford has come a long way since the days when Henry Ford famously declared that customers could buy a Model T in any color, so long as it was black. Today, the global auto manufacturer, headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, prides itself on not only advancing automotive innovation but also improving customer experience with a broad palette of color choices.

At a recent event, Ford offered more than 20 paint choices for the Ranger and 10 for the Everest, available across several international markets, including Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN countries, North and South Africa, and the Middle East, so buyers can choose something that really fits their style and makes their car stand out.

Krista Lindegger, a color and materials designer at Ford Australia, mentions the importance of color in vehicle design. She adds that color not only adds personality to a vehicle but also enhances its visual appeal.

Despite the wide range of available colors, preferences in these regions lean towards more traditional choices. According to recent sales data from across Ford International Markets Group (IMG), over 35 percent of all Rangers sold in the last six months were in shades of white, with Arctic White accounting for 26.2 percent and Frozen White for 10.9 percent. Meteor Grey was the second most popular choice at 12.6 percent, while Absolute Black and Aluminium Metallic were also favorites at 9.7 percent and 7.6 percent respectively.

The trend is similar for the Everest, where white dominates the color preference. Snow Flake White and Arctic White together constitute 34 percent of all sales across Ford IMG. Absolute Black comes in as a close second favorite at 17.9 percent, nearly matched by Meteor Grey at 17.7 percent. Aluminium Metallic rounds out the top five choices at 10.8 percent.

Classic shades like white remain popular for practical reasons. White cars are perceived to hide scratches better and show less dust, which Lindegger points out contributes to their popularity. The preference for traditional colors points out that while consumer tastes have widened, the classics still hold better appeal. If you're thinking about Ford cars, head over to AutoDeal.
