GAC Motor Philippines has recently updated the GS3 Emzoom lineup. This revision replaces the former GB variant with a new one called the ‘Touring’. This variant of GAC’s subcompact crossover brings the R-Style’s sporty styling to a more affordable trim level. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the R-Style, but it does have the same entertainment amenities plus its striking exterior.
Specifically, the GS3 Emzoom Touring comes with the R-Style’s signature center-mounted dual exhaust pipes at the rear, along with a distinct Touring badge. It also carries the R-Style’s lower bumper with the bumper canards at the sides. Not everything is carried from the R-Style to the Touring, however, as the Emzoom Touring is equipped with smaller 18-inch alloy wheels, compared to the 19-inch alloys found on the top-tier R-Style model.
Inside, the Emzoom Touring boasts a blue and black interior, featuring a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android integration, rear AC vents, and USB charging ports for the back seats, among other amenities.
Other tech features include, The Emzoom Touring comes with a range of intelligent features, including standard cruise control, a rearview camera, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold and hill descent control, as well as an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. Intelligent driver aids are of course reserved for the top-spec GS3 Emzoom but the amount of kit in the Touring is nothing to scoff at either.
In terms of power, the Touring variant is equipped with a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged T-GDI engine, producing 171 hp and 270 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a seven-speed wet-type DCT, which is standard across the Emzoom lineup.
The GAC GS3 Emzoom Touring is now available at GAC dealerships, priced at P1,098,000. It is offered in a selection of colors: Graphene Grey, Moonlight Grey, Ivory White, and Superstar Silver.
If you’re considering going for the GS3 Emzoom as your next car purchase, you’ll be happy to know that GAC’s sporty crossover scored a five-star rating from the ASEAN NCAP. In addition, GAC provides customers with an aftersales warranty of five years or 150,000 km.
