GAC Motor Philippines, together with Astara Philippines, opened its booth at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) by introducing the M8 PHEV — its flagship plug-in hybrid MPV — to the public for the first time. With the theme “Innovate the Drive – GAC’s Road to Electrification,” the brand is taking big steps toward smarter, greener mobility for Filipino drivers.
The M8 PHEV quickly grabbed attention on opening day with its striking design, roomy cabin, and smooth, refined plug-in hybrid system. Designed for families and professionals who want both comfort and fuel efficiency, the M8 PHEV is expected to hit the Philippine market by Q3 2025, with a projected price tag of under P4.3 million.
“Introducing the M8 PHEV at MIAS marks an important step in our journey to bring more intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions to the Philippines. “This model represents the kind of innovation GAC is now known for—smart, refined, and aligned with the needs of today’s Filipino drivers.”

Visitors to GAC Motor’s MIAS booth can also explore the brand’s impressive lineup, which includes the GS3 Emzoom, Emkoo Hybrid, M6 Pro, GS8, and the newly revealed M8 PHEV. Test drives are available throughout the event for the GS3 Emzoom, Emkoo Hybrid, and M6 Pro — a perfect chance for guests to experience the vehicles' performance and features firsthand.
GAC Brand Ambassador Dingdong Dantes made a special appearance to show his support, while Mr. Wang Shunsheng, Vice President of GAC International, flew in to join the opening day activities and support the Philippine team.
“The Manila International Auto Show is a great way for us to connect with Filipino customers and let them experience what GAC has to offer,” shared Mr. Wang. “We’re confident in the market’s potential and will continue to bring in high-quality models that meet the needs of today’s drivers.”

To mark the occasion, GAC Motor is offering exclusive MIAS MAX Deals from April 10 to 13, available across all GAC dealerships nationwide. Customers can enjoy as much as P172,900 in savings on the GS3 Emzoom, along with a free 10,000-kilometer PMS package. The promo also includes substantial discounts on other popular models, such as P435,000 off the Empow, up to P250,000 in total savings on the GS8, P100,000 off the Emkoo Hybrid, P160,000 off the M8, and P165,000 off the M6 Pro GS variant. “With these MIAS-only deals, we’re giving car buyers even more reasons to visit our showrooms and see what GAC has in store,” said Torres. “We’re looking forward to an exciting rest of the show.”
