GAC Motor Philippines, under the Astara Group, has recently announced that the brand has delivered another milestone in its growth, surpassing 1,000 units in total retail sales for 2023 so far. This is a record achievement for the brand since it’s been taken under the wing of Astara.
The figures were reported to CAMPI, and the report included a year-to-date retail sale figure of 1,017 units as of August 2023. The success of the brand can be attributed to its new crop of vehicles with some really compelling designs such as the GAC GS8, Empow, Emkoo, and GS3 Emzoom. The new models all embody GAC Motor’s commitment to high quality, fine craftsmanship, and innovation, and they’re helping the brand gain a strong foothold in the market.
"We are beyond thrilled to share yet another remarkable milestone for GAC. In a mere eight months, we have proudly welcomed over 1,000 delighted GAC owners across the nation. Our optimism and determination are stronger than ever as we set our sights on breaking the 2,000 mark by year-end. This achievement stands as a testament to the trust our customers place in our brand and the invaluable support from our dealer partners, all of which enhance the ownership experience."

The company also appointed four new dealers, which will be part of the growing network to sell GAC Motor vehicles and offer after-sales service. Decloedt added, “We are fully committed to accelerate our network growth across the country as this will enhance the accessibility of GAC and help ensure a convenient purchase and worry-free after-sales experience for all our customers wherever they may be.”
As for the brand’s latest releases, the GS8 AWD embodies some of the best technologies that GAC has for Filipino car buyers. Equipped with some of the latest and greatest technology currently available from the Chinese brand, the GS8 embodies confidence and style through its design and feature set. Decloedt adds: “The GS8 has had tremendous success since being launched in the Philippines and continues to be one of our best-selling nameplates. It is masterfully-designed to exude confidence on the road and is perfect for customers seeking distinction and refinement in their SUV.”
