Hyundai Motor Company has recently received recognition from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a leader in fuel economy for the 2022 model year. Ranking second only to Tesla's all-electric lineup, Hyundai has proven to have the highest fuel economy and the lowest CO2 emissions among mainstream car makers.
"EPA's Automotive Trends Report is an important barometer of the industry's fuel economy progress, and we are proud that this year's data reflects our ongoing efforts to offer a more efficient vehicle lineup. We are leading the way in reducing carbon emissions and increasing fuel efficiency for our customers by continuing the push toward electrification. We believe this is an important step in helping consumers reduce their environmental impact and we plan to continue growing our hybrid and electric vehicle sales in 2024."
In 2023, electric vehicles (EVs) made up 7% of Hyundai's sales, with a lineup that includes electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered cars like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6. The brand plans to introduce 17 new battery-electric vehicles, targeting a 7% share of the global EV market by 2030.
Speaking of the IONIQ 5, Hyundai seems to be preparing for the launch of the Ioniq 5 N NPX1 at the Tokyo Auto Salon. From the teaser, the upgrade includes expanded wheel arches, a redesigned front bumper with a splitter, and rear improvements, such as a large wing and a diffuser.
What does this mean for Hyundai car fans in the Philippines? Well, with Hyundai pushing forward with electric and performance cars, it makes us wonder: Are electric cars also the future in the Philippines? It seems like the trend is moving towards cars that are fun to drive while also being good for the planet.
Hyundai currently offers the IONIQ 5 in both standard and long-range versions in the Philippines.Head over to AutoDeal and get a quote for the Hyundai vehicle of your choice.
