Isuzu Philippines Corporation revamps its venerable workhorse and gave it a refresh in the form of the new Isuzu D-Max LS-A variant. While the chassis remains the same, the exterior of the vehicle has received a couple of new styling features.
The new D-max features a 4JJ-TC 3.0-liter engine. The engine comes with Blue Power technology with a VGS turbo intercooler. The engine is able to produce 175 hp with 380 Nm of torque. The LS-A D-Max will be sold in 4x4 and 4x2 configurations. There is no word yet when the rest of the lineup will get a refresh. Both LS-A variants will have an option of either a 6-speed automatic with sequential shift or 6-speed manual transmission with gear shift indicator.
These relatively new additions to the pickup are just the start. The LS-A package comes with features that cater to the modern Filipino lifestyle. It maximizes the best qualities of the urban professional and the weekend adventurer.
For the interior, the D-Max is fitted with automatic climate control, keyless entry with push to start, a 12- volt accessory socket, three charging ports, 15 storage compartments, and 10 cup holders.
This new D-Max features modern exterior styling, it features a very dark gray front grille and bumper. Coupled to this is a side step board and rocker panel along with a cargo extender and roof rails to maximize the vehicle’s carrying capacity. The vehicle also features 18-inch alloy wheels in two-tone.
Introduced in 2003, the Isuzu D-Max pick-up has sold more than 4,00 units so far and continues to be one of the country’s most popular pick-up models for its durability, fuel efficiency, and overall value for money. The new Isuzu D-Max LS-A joins the ranks of premium pick-ups with its stylish yet functional design and competitive pricing without compromising the D-Max’s core value of being “Tough Enough for Anything’
The new D-Max LS-A will come in the following colors: Cosmic Black, Sapphire Blue, Titanium Silver, Red Spinel, Splash White, and Silky Pearl White. With all the added features to the company’s popular pick-up, IPC has announced that there will be a more competitive pricing scheme for this variant.
