Back in 2023, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) introduced the facelifted mu-X into the Philippines. The 2023 update brought on the addition of a new two-tone grille, a new color called Norwegian Blue, and a fresh 20-inch wheel design for the LS-E variants. This time, Isuzu is focusing on giving the mu-X more tech features.

In a press release, Isuzu revealed that it has equipped the 2024 mu-X with additional safety and convenience equipment. For starters, the 2024 mu-X now offers a 360-degree around-view monitor (AVM) option. This system utilizes a series of cameras to provide drivers with improved visibility of their surroundings during parking or navigating through confined spaces. Significantly, it enables drivers to have a clearer view of their blind spots, enhancing overall safety. As mid-size crossovers tend to eat up a lot of space on the road, this is a welcome addition that will shine in urban areas.

Next on the list is a digital video recorder (DVR), capable of capturing up to 11 hours of footage using a 64GB microSD card. The DVR offers both dual- or single-view replay options and incorporates proximity recording across all four cameras to enhance safety features. If you frequently drive around Metro Manila, you’ll know very well what this system is useful in countering against.

“The new Isuzu mu-X is a statement of pride and pleasure in ownership, designed to inspire and empower its customers to explore endless horizons. With its perfect blend of safety, convenience, and performance, the mu-X is set to continue Isuzu’s legacy of excellence and innovation.”

Finally, Isuzu has integrated wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity into the 10.1-inch infotainment system. The infotainment system update is paired with a wireless charging pad. All these upgrades will not come with a bump in price so if you were aiming to buy a mu-X, you won’t have to worry about adjusting your budget.
