The women have spoken, and their verdict is clear—the Kia EV9 is the 'World's Best Car for 2024'. With such a big win, we are all wondering if this SUV will be available in the Philippines soon.

Awarded by a global panel of 75 female automotive journalists, the award-winning electric SUV is catching the eyes of both industry experts and car fans, reaching the highest marks for its good design, technology, and performance.

The Kia EV9 stood out among 63 contenders to claim the title of 'World's Best Car for 2024' at the Women's Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY). Aside from its user-friendly interface, the EV9 also stands out for its innovative engineering, including advanced aerodynamics and features like level 3 autonomous driving, two-way charging, and rapid charging capabilities. With plans to introduce this model to the Philippine market, the EV9 could soon be a common sight on local roads.

The EV9 is also recognized for its other useful features, such as a roomy, family-oriented interior that mirrors the feel of traditional cars while offering the benefits of zero emissions.

Jil McIntosh from Canada mentioned the EV9's familiar driving experience, which could attract more consumers to electric vehicles. Ylle Rajasaar, on the other hand, from Estonia, appreciated the EV9's performance in cold weather, describing it as reliable and luxurious.

"An exceptionally noble, spacious, versatile, multi-purpose electric car. The electronic four-wheel drive is also capable, and the different driving modes make the EV9 an excellent vehicle in the Nordic winter and snowdrifts. I tested the car in a sub-25-degree frost and I was happy that the EV9 behaved in cold winter weather like a normal luxury car: it warmed up quickly, the mileage was not affected much by minus degrees. A great achievement from the Korean automaker."

Kia's really outdoing itself with the EV9, taking up where the Niro left off. With its standout features and a top-notch award, it’d be awesome to see it available in the Philippines, don’t you think? While there's no official word yet, you can always check out Kia’s full lineup and maybe find a car that catches your eye.
