Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), official distributor of BMW in the Philippines, continues the lineage of the Sports Activity Vehicle with the introduction of the all-new BMW X6.
The 2nd generation of what they call a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC), the BMW X6 is the newest vehicle in the X family, categorized by its tall stance, high seating position, and coupe-like roofline. Touting a more commanding road presence and better performance, the all-new BMW X6 builds on the success of the previous generation, with a healthy dose of new features.
Featuring the Pure Extravagance trim at launch, the X6 features brand new lighting in the form of bi-xenon headlights and new, 3-dimensional LED light strips and rear lights. This makes night driving a perfect opportunity to show off the new flashers.
The front nose also enjoys a redesigned bumper and contours that blend perfectly to the signature BMW kidney grille. 20-inch light-alloy wheels also come standard. Unique to this trim is the Cerium Grey finishes on the mirror caps and front underbody guard, significantly increasing the overall look of the vehicle.
You’ll be spending most of your time inside the vehicle, and BMW has updated almost every aspect of the driving experience. The improvements continue in the cabin with a redesigned instrument panel, a standard-fitted BMW Navigation System Professional with a 10-inch screen operated by the new iDrive system with touch controller, a sport leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons, and shift paddles. Giving practicality a boost are the 40:20:40 split/folding rear seat backrests, which expand the 580 liter loading capacity to as much as 1,525 liters. Other standard features are the automatic tailgate, auto dimming rear-view mirror, and 2-zone climate control.
At the heart of the X6 is a BMW 3.0 TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that is powerful yet efficient. Churning out 258 hp and 560 Nm of torque, the X6 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, great for quick and safe overtakes on country roads, yet tame enough for everyday use. Mated to an 8-speed Steptronic sport transmission and the latest version of the xDrive all-wheel-drive system, the X6 is flexible and ready to adapt to any driving condition.
With the usability of an SUV, styling of a coupe, and sporty yet efficient driving dynamics, the BMW X6 is as practical as it is stylish. Currently priced at P7,790,000, learn more about the X6 is as practical as it is stylish. Learn more about the X6 in AutoDeal’s Car Guide.
