Two years after the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) announced that the motor show is returning for its 9th year this October.
According to CAMPI, the event will run from October 24 to 27, 2024, and will be held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. The four-day event will bring in more than 15 of the Philippines’ top automotive brands, showcasing their latest products and their newest innovations in the automotive industry.
“We are thrilled for the return of the 9th Philippine International Motor Show this October. The industry has shifted immensely in the last 2 years, so through this motor show, we will dare to drive in bringing the best and most exciting PIMS yet.”
This year, the 9th PIMS will be held with the theme, "Dare. Drive. The Future Redefined.” According to CAMPI, this theme is a reflection of its commitment to uniting the country’s top names in the automotive industry to boldly navigate the mobility revolution. Atty. Guitierrez elaborates, saying, “As we face new challenges, CAMPI stands at the forefront of this shift in mobility by providing equitable solutions to the transportation needs of every Filipino.”
The 8th PIMS was held in September 2022. The event was pushed back for two years due to the COVID-19 outbreak effectively putting the world and the automotive industry at a standstill. Now that the world is getting close to fully recovering from the pandemic, it will be interesting to see what the 9th edition of the PIMS will bring us.
The 8th PIMS was attended by 13 car brands including new members of CAMPI at the time, Hyundai, Chery, and Geely. Now, with more than 15 brands anticipated to present at the 2024 PIMS, we’re sure to see something exciting and possibly extraordinary at the four-day motor show.
