Chinese cars are quickly becoming the go-to for many Filipino drivers. If you ever wonder why they are gaining traction in the Philippines, GAC Motor might have the answer, with their sales up by 172%.
The conference, held on July 10 at the Peninsula Manila, saw GAC Dealer Principals and Astara Executives come together. Franz Decloedt, Brand Head of GAC Motor Philippines, revealed plans to introduce six new models in the next six months and to expand the dealer network.
“Our GAC Motor Philippines team has shown unstoppable momentum as we continue to achieve new milestones and break new ground across the country. We are immensely grateful for the warm support of new customers and are eager to deliver the outstanding mobility solutions that GAC Motor offers to even more Filipinos."

GAC Motor ended June 2024 with 351 retail units sold, totaling 1,702 units for the first half of the year, up from 625 units sold during the same period last year. The GS3 Emzoom, accounting for 64% of total sales, has been a huge part of this growth. Meanwhile, the M6 Pro, known for its premium features, spacious interior, and fuel efficiency, has also gained popularity as a family-friendly vehicle.
Considering this growth, GAC Motor is now ranked 12th in the local market share and has become the third highest-volume Chinese brand in the Philippines, as reported by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI). GAC is making it easier for people to get these cars by opening new dealerships all over the country. The new dealerships, signed during the Midyear Dealer Conference, include GAC Angeles, GAC BGC, GAC Calamba, GAC Taytay, and several others.
With six new models coming soon, GAC is growing its car lineup to attract even more buyers. Before these arrive, take a look at their current lineup on AutoDeal and grab a quote for your favorite GAC car.
