Something new might be coming from Suzuki's garage—a Jimny pickup! You might know the Suzuki Jimny as that rugged little SUV that's perfect for both driving around the streets and off-road tracks. Well, get ready, because Suzuki is planning to take the Jimny to the next level with new models that will excite any car enthusiast.
The concept of a Jimny pickup has been moving around for a while, and Suzuki might be close to turning it into reality. That's right, a Jimny pickup could soon be a reality.
The proposed pickup model would feature a two-seater layout with a really spacious cargo area in the back, perfect for those who need a compact vehicle that's easy to maneuver and park. Suzuki hinted at this possibility with a concept model showcased back in 2019, which extended the standard three-door model's rear section to include a cargo bed, all based on the longer wheelbase of the new five-door Jimny.
But that's not all. Suzuki is also working on more eco-friendly options. They're working on a hybrid Jimny that could help cut down on fuel use and keep the air cleaner. Suzuki hasn't disclosed all the details yet, but the hybrid system is likely to be a mild hybrid, improving the existing engine rather than replacing it and making the Jimny more eco-friendly without compromising its performance.
Suzuki has also confirmed the development of a fully electric Jimny, slated for release by 2030. The electric Jimny will feature a zero-emission powertrain and is expected to include special design features like revamped LED headlights to differentiate it from its gasoline counterparts. Suzuki keeps the Jimny on top with new updates. If you want to see more, you may visit AutoDeal to view the full Suzuki range and get a car quote for the one that catches your eye.
