Drawing momentum from the recently launched Ciaz, Suzuki Philippines has previewed the updated Ertiga for 2016 featuring a restyled exterior, added tech, and a new variant.
As a whole, the 2016 Ertiga looks more angular and edgier as compared to its predecessor. Up front, the updated Ertiga is fitted with a new face as seen through its sharper-looking headlights and beefier bumper. The Ertiga now also has a chrome grill and a more sculpted hood.
The rear, on the other hand, gets larger taillights and a chrome bar. The 2016 Ertiga is finished off with 15-inch wheels.
Inside, Suzuki fills the mid (GL) and top-end (GLX) variants of the 2016 Ertiga with added features and tech. The GL variant comes with a multimedia touch screen audio unit and a 50/50 split-folding third row seat configuration. The GLX has a push start button, Android OS audio unit with mirror link capability, and reverse parking sensors.
The 2016 Ertiga also has a new variant – the GL 1.4 that is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Under the hood, the 2016 Ertiga is still powered by a 1.4-liter VVT gasoline engine that delivers 95 hp and 130 Nm of torque.

The 2016 Ertiga is offered in 4 variants with a higher price tag due to the added features and upgraded tech. The base variant GA 1.4 M/T is priced at P665,000 (P46,000 higher) while the GL 1.4 M/T is priced at P759,000 (P47,000 more). The new variant GL 1.4 A/T gets a price tag of P799,000 while the top-of-the-line GLX 1.4 A/T is priced at P918,000 (P106,000 increase).
Available colors for the 2016 Ertiga are Snow White Pearl, Silky Silver Metallic, Graphite Grey Pearl Metallic, Cool Black Pearl Metallic, Radiant Red Pearl, and Burgundy Red Pearl.
