Toyota Philippines has announced that it is bringing back the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Cup in July for the 2022 race season. After a series of virtual programs for 2021 where fans were able to watch live-action racing from the Japanese automaker’s online channels, the event is back but this time is open to the energy of the live audience back in the grandstand, with the first of its three legs happening on July 2, starting at 9:30 AM, at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.
Similar to before, the GT Vios Cup will be live-streamed on the Toyota Motor Philippines and Gazoo Racing Philippines Facebook accounts so that more motorsports enthusiasts can be part of the action wherever they are.
The TGR Vios cup will also feature two main events, Circuit Championship and Autocross Challenge. For the Circuit championship, it will feature the country’s top racing teams with their seasoned and up-and-coming drivers that will battle it out for their respective podium victories. Just like before, there will be three classes, Super Sporting, Sporting, and Promotional class.
The racing action doesn’t stop there as the Autocross challenge is also there to awe spectators as influencers, plus members of the media get to test their speed and racing skills by navigating the specially designed race course. As a special treat for the sim racers who won the Gran Turismo event of Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup, they will also be participating in the Autocross event.
Over the years, the TGR Vios Cup has been serving as a vehicle for us to champion the local racers, and to bring the thrill of racing to everyone. We thank our ever-growing community of racers and motorsports fans for their support which makes the TGR Vios Cup one of the biggest, and longest-running racing events in the Philippines
As the excitement builds for the upcoming live-action racing, Toyota has other surprises in store, especially with its promos and discounts that you can get on its vehicles today. You can visit our website so that we can connect you to our wide array of Toyota dealerships so you can get the best deal on your next Toyota vehicle.
