Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) celebrated its 32nd year of operation. This anniversary was highlighted by the recent launch of the refreshed Toyota Vios in the country. As the Philippines seeks to reopen the economy after undergoing quarantine in March, TMP renews its partnership with and commitment with the Filipino people in its pursuit of nation-building.
In our over 30-year history, we have faced many challenges but this is by far the most challenging we have seen. Of one thing I am sure: this will be our finest moment. We will draw on our collective strength to support government in its recovery efforts and we will assure our customers and each one in our Toyota family that we will stand by each other every step of the way
In the past years, to celebrate their anniversary, TMP members would gather together for a general assembly. However, this has changed due to the still ongoing pandemic. With the guidance of its president Atsuhiro Okamoto, the Japanese brand has opted for a virtual gathering for the whole company. This was done in order to keep the celebration going with respect to health and safety protocols.
As the Japanese brand celebrates its 32nd year anniversary in the country, TMP is doing its best to transition into a mobility company. Together with its 71 dealerships nationwide, Toyota is aiming to transform itself into becoming a one-stop solution to meet the growing mobility needs of Filipinos. In line with this, the brand is expanding its services to include Toyota Financial Services, Toyota Insure Program, and Toyota Certified Used Vehicles.
In line with this, the Japanese brand has also started offering Connected Auto Loans, Full-Service Leases, and its newly launched Kinto package that serves as a vehicle subscription program. TMP is also piloting an On-Demand Shuttle service in partnership with the Department of Transportation and is offering Fleet Management Services to select partners.
Toyota is also ramping up its efforts for digitalization to meet the demands of a shift in consumer behavior towards an online experience. This takes form in the brand’s new virtual showroom, its new MyToyotaPh app, and the launch of its virtual race series the Supra GT cup that takes the place of the Vios Racing Festival.
As TMP moves forward to many more years of operation it reaffirms its partnership with the Filipino people as it seeks to help bring the Philippine economy back on track to a better tomorrow.
