Toyota Philippines looks to be starting 2022 year with a high amount of momentum as the Japanese automaker has confirmed that it will be launching another new model for March of this year. With the successful launch of the Toyota Raize in February, the Japanese brand seeks to reignite the MPV segment with the launch of the all-new Toyota Avanza on March 7, 2022.
The Japanese automaker has yet to release the official specifications of the new Avanza, but it did confirm the starting price of the MPV. It will reportedly start at P813,000 for its entry-level variant and interested buyers can already start making reservations for the vehicle, starting March 1, 2022.
As for its other specifications, we can look to other markets such as Indonesia and Thailand for what we can expect for the all-new MPV. We can expect to find that the new Avanza will come with a new chassis and will also now be front-wheel drive. As for its transmission, we could likely get a CVT which will replace the old four-speed automatic transmission. However, it looks like Toyota Philippines will still retain the 1.3-liter and 1.5-liter engine options that the Avanza currently has. In this case, the automaker may give it the same engine options as the current Toyota Vios to improve the MPV’s performance and fuel efficiency.
Our mobility requirements are rapidly evolving, especially after the disruptions caused by the pandemic, but one thing remains constant - Filipinos will always need a reliable car that can offer ample, comfortable space for the family, including extended family members.
He continues by stating that “This has always been the strength of the Avanza, but for this 2022 release, expect even more value-for-money features on top of its striking style upgrades inside and out."
With March 7, 2022, right around the corner, Toyota Philippines says that you should keep your eyes glued to its official social media platforms so that you can be the first to see the vehicle and its specifications when it officially launches.
