Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) of Pasig City advises the public to take note of the roads that will be closed on December 13, 2015. This is to give way to the grand Christmas-themed float parade, the Paskotitap Float Festival.
The following streets will be temporarily closed to traffic at these times:
- Ortigas Avenue Extension – Eastbound from Greenmeadows to Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (6 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
- Frontera Verde Road inside Tiendesitas (1 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
- E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue / C-5 – from Eagle Street to Ortigas Avenue (6 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
- Eagle Street (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.)
- Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
- Pasig Boulevard – Vargas Bridge / Rotonda (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.)
- A. Mabini Street (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.)
- Plaza Rizal Intersection (8 p.m. to 9 p.m.)
- Caruncho Avenue – both directions (8 p.m. to 12 m.n.)
- F. Manalo Street – fronting Pasig City hall (8 p.m. to 12 m.n.)
The affected motorists are advised to take alternate routes as listed below:
- To Rotonda from Shaw Boulevard and Bagong Ilog via Vargas Bridge: Take M. Flores Street to cross Sta. Rosa de Lima Bridge. Make a left to A. Luna Street then to destination.
- To Tiendesitas / SM Hypermarket from Ortigas Avenue: Take C-5 to reach destination.
- To Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue from C-5: Take Ortigas Avenue Extension to reach destination.
- To Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue from Ortigas Avenue: Take C. Raymundo Avenue to reach destination.
- To Quezon City from C-5: Take Greenmeadows Street to reach destination.
- To Eastern Rizal and Tiendesitas from Ortigas Avenue: Take Lanuza Street then left to J. Vargas Avenue then to destination.
- To Eastern Rizal and Marikina from C-5: Take Ortigas flyover then turn right to Calle Industria. Make a left to A. Rodriguez Avenue then to destination.
- To Eastern Rizal / Ever / Floodway / from Ortigas Avenue Extension: Take Greenmeadows Street then turn left to C-5. Make a right turn to Calle Industria and then turn right again upon A. Rodriguez Avenue to reach destination.
- To Mega Market from Rotonda: Take C. Raymundo Avenue then turn right to Mercedez Avenue. Make another right turn to Market Avenue then to destination.
- To Rotonda / Quiapo / Crossing from Mega Market: Take Market Avenue then turn left to Mercedez Avenue. Make the next left to C. Raymundo Avenue then to destination.
- To Eastern Rizal / Ever from Mega Market: Take F. Manalo Street then turn right to V. Baltazar Street. Make a left turn at Market Avenue then to destination.
- To Mega Market from San Joaquin / Pateros: Take G. Raymundo Street then turn left to F. Manalo Street. Make a right to Caruncho Avenue then to destination or; take Elisco Road then turn left at M. Jimenez Street. Upon reaching F. Antonio Street, turn right then make a left to Balderrama Street then to destination.
- To San Joaquin / Pateros from Mega Market: Take Road 2 then turn right to Caruncho Avenue. Make a left upon reaching F. Manalo Street then turn left again at F. Antonio Street. Make a right to Pio Alvarez Street to cross Kalawaan Bridge then turn right to Elisco Road to reach destination.
- To Rotonda from San Joaquin / Pateros: Take M. Concepcion Street then straight to San Guillermo Street. Make a right to C-5 then to destination.
The public is advised to plan ahead and take note of the appropriate routes to avoid the inconvenience during the festival. Street names listed in the mentioned routes are verified using Google Maps.
