VinFast, a rising star in the global electric vehicle (EV) market, is set to make a significant impact in the Philippines with the launch of its latest model, the VF7. The brand, originating from Vietnam, has rapidly gained recognition in the EV world, positioning itself as a challenger to established automotive giants in China, Europe, and North America.
At the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS), which runs from October 24 to 26, 2024, VinFast officially launched the VF7, signaling its intent to play a leading role in the country’s electrification journey. The VF7, a sleek and versatile electric SUV, is targeted at young professionals and starter families who are looking for a stylish yet practical vehicle that aligns with their eco-conscious values. It is offered in both single and dual-motor configurations, delivering power outputs ranging from 177 PS to 354 PS, making it suitable for a wide range of driving needs. Additionally, the VF7 boasts a competitive range of up to 520 kilometers on a full charge, ensuring that it can handle both city commutes and longer road trips.

Pricing for the VF7 is designed to be competitive in the Philippine market, offering flexible options. The VF7 Base is priced at Php 1,760,000, while a more affordable option with a battery subscription is available at Php 1,470,000. The VF7 Plus, a more advanced variant, is priced at Php 2,380,000, with a battery subscription option lowering the price to Php 1,730,000. This pricing structure, especially with the battery subscription option, makes the VF7 more accessible to a broader audience.
The VF7 also comes packed with features that appeal to safety-conscious buyers. It includes driver aids such as Driver Drowsiness Attention Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Blind-Spot Detection, and Automatic Emergency Braking. Fast charging capabilities, allowing the vehicle to charge from 10% to 70% in just 55 minutes, further add to its practicality. With a top speed of 175 km/h and multiple driving modes, the VF7 combines performance, safety, and convenience.
As VinFast introduces the VF7 into the Philippine market, it is positioning itself as a key player in the region’s shift toward sustainable mobility, offering a stylish, well-priced option for the growing number of EV adopters in the country.
