Honda Thailand revealed an entirely different face of the Mobilio. Aside from the new exterior look, the Japanese automaker claims that the mini MPV is equipped with more comfort features and improved safety.
At first glance, you can’t help but notice the Mobilio’s new look. It is fitted with sportier headlamps, which are far from the large inverted teardrop shape of the current model. The Mobilio also features a protruding hood which amplifies the sleek redesigned grille. On the other hand, the rear and the side of the vehicle remains the same.
The cabin features a number of design changes too. Starting at the dash, the Mobilio has a new center console, while the instrument panel features the brand's Self Illuminating Meters with multi-information display. Meanwhile, cabin space varies as the Thai-spec Mobilio comes in either a 7-seater which has 3 rows of seats, or a 2-row 5-seater configuration.
While there may be changes in the aesthetics of the Mobilio, there were no changes under its hood. It is still powered by the current 1.5L i-VTEC engine that produces 117 hp and 146 Nm of torque, and is available with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
While we stare in awe of this refreshed Mobilio, there isn't certainty yet as to when Honda Cars Philippines will bring it here. However, considering the popularity of MPVs in the local automotive market, the Mobilio’s new look could translate to positive unit sales.
