Great start for Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) as it enters 2017 with an 18% sales growth, as compared to the same period last year. The official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines sold a total of 2,817 units in January 2017 – 430 units higher than last year.
It’s no surprise that their main star is the Hyundai Accent. Its sedan version ended 2016 strong by making it to the top 20 most inquired vehicles in AutoDeal for the year.
The Accent is HARI’s best-selling nameplate and the main driver for January 2017, with a 124% increase in sales as compared to the same month last year. This attributed to the 29% growth for HARI’s passenger cars (PC).
Our strong start in 2017 is a testament of the market’s welcome response to our long-standing commitment of providing high-quality, best-in-class, and customer-focused products and services,” said Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, HARI President and CEO.
The optimism in HARI lives on with the strong start for the year, even amidst the news of the proposed excise tax on brand new cars.
