Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) reported that they closed March 2017 with record sales of 3,371 units, the highest monthly output in the company’s 15-year history. Compared to March 2016, HARI’s sales last month surged by 17% with 3,371 units sold.
With its positive performance last March 2017, HARI managed to boost its sales by 18% with 8,841 units sold as compared to 7,468 on the same quarter last year (January to March).
With our recent achievements, we expect to ride on the crest of a new wave of automotive resurgence in 2017. Through innovation and relentless pursuit of our customers, we are confident that we will continue to forge new ground, one milestone at a time," said HARI president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.
Charts show that the Passenger Car (PC) segment went up by 800 units compared to January to March of 2016. This is still primarily contributed by the Accent sedan, which sold 3,835 units for this year's Q1. As a review, the Accent also led the brand’s PC segment in the previous month, making it the best-selling model of HARI.
The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment also posted a positive remark of 2,855 units sold. With the H-100 utility truck sales spiking up by 587 units, the segment accounts to 25% of the total growth for HARI's Q1.
