Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), Hyundai’s official distributor in the Philippines, reported a 21% year-on-year inflation in sales after selling 2,653 units for the month of February.
Still leading the growth is Hyundai's Passenger Car (PC) segment, which is up by 22% with 1,934 units compared to February last year. The segment is led by the brand's subcompact passenger car Accent, which the company claims to be its bestselling model with 1,286 sold units (up by 114%) from the 600 tally of February 2016.
On the other hand, the Commercial Vehicle (CV) segment also increased by 19%, or 719 units sold, as compared to the 606 of the same period of 2016. The Starex leads this segment with total sales of 270 units for the month of February.
Our strong start in 2017 paves the way for a promising year as we continue to satisfy our customers with premium quality products and services,” said HARI president and CEO Ma. Perez-Agudo.
On further note, HARI also recorded a 15% increase from January to February of 2016 to the same period of 2017. From 4,576 to this year's 5,247 units sold, the Accent remains to be unbeatable with total figures of 2,704 units.
