BMW 5 Series 2024

The latest BMW 5 Series was launched in 2022 with cleaner styling compared to its predecessor and tech updates and comes in two variants.

The seventh-generation BMW 5 Series made its way to the Philippines in 2017 under Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC)

The BMW 5 Series has officially been available in the Philippines since the 1990s and stands as one of BMW Philippines’ longest-standing nameplates locally.

The G30 BMW 5 Series uses BMW’s modular Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform. The units available locally uses two four-cylinder BMW TwinPower engines with the base engine making 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque, and the M Sport variant making 252 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission.

The wheelbase measures 2,975 mm. Its length comes in at 4,962 mm, width at 1,868 mm, and height at 1,467 mm. The 5 Series uses a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear suspension. Those opting for the M Sport variant get M Sport adaptive dampers as standard that can change its setting with its different drive modes.

The BMW 5 Series features Automatic air conditioning with four-zone climate control, Electric seat adjustment with memory function for the driver’s seat,  Lumbar support, BMW iDrive System, Harman Kardon surround sound system, Ambient Lighting, Additional 12V power sockets, Electric roller sunblinds for the rear window, Mechanical roller sunblinds for the rear side windows, as well as +RFT, Park Distance Control (PDC) front and rear, Rear View Camera, Automatic tailgate, and soft-close function for doors. It also comes standard with BMW Live Cockpit Plus, with a curved display standard for the M Sport variant.

The exterior of the BMW 5 Series exudes a sense of elegance that mirrors executive needs. It is understated while exuding road presence and luxury, with a very solid-looking front fascia with lines that extend from the front all the way to the rear of the vehicle. The side view of the BMW 5 Series showcases its elongated and balanced proportions. It features chrome window surrounds, adding a touch of sophistication. The car's beltline rises subtly towards the rear, contributing to its dynamic character. Stylish alloy wheels in either 18 or 19 inches are available, depending on the variant.

The interior of the BMW 5 Series is designed to provide a luxurious and comfortable driving experience with a touch of sophistication. The cabin features high-quality materials, precise craftsmanship, and advanced technology.

Upon entering the vehicle, you'll notice a spacious and well-appointed interior. The seats are typically upholstered in premium leather and offer excellent support and comfort for both the driver and passengers. The dashboard is elegantly designed and features a sleek layout with a driver-focused orientation. The center console houses a large infotainment display, measuring at 10.25 inches, which provides access to various multimedia and vehicle functions.
