BMW 2-Series Coupé Overview

The latest 2-Series coupe was launched alongside the BMW iX on April 2022 and is only available in two models. A 218i M Sport, and a more powerful M240i. The initial launch price for the 218i M Sport comes in at P 3,590,000, while the M240i is priced at P 4,890,000.
The BMW 2-Series coupe nameplate made its first appearance in the Philippines in 2015 in both coupe and convertible forms.
The BMW 1-Series predecessor first appeared in the Philippines back in 2011, with the more powerful BMW 1M Coupe making its appearance shortly afterward in limited numbers.

Based on the latest CLAR platform, the latest G42 BMW 2-Series Coupe is offered in either a rear-wheel drive configuration for the 218i M Sport or a rear-biased xDrive all-wheel drive configuration for the M240i. The 218i M Sport makes use of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine making 184 hp and 300 Nm of torque, while the sport-oriented M240i boasts a B58 3.0-liter straight-six engine making 374 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed ZF Automatic Transmission.

The 218i M Sport comes standard with LED headlights, Comfort Access System, BMW Parking Assistant, an Interior rear-view mirror with anti-dazzle function, ambient lighting, three-zone Automatic Climate Control, HIFI loudspeaker system, Electric seat adjustment with memory function for the driver, and a 10.25-inch widescreen display with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
The M240i, on the other hand, comes standard with all of the tech features of the 218i M Sport but has the BMW Live Cockpit Plus, which gives a continuous curved display for both the gauge cluster and infotainment system. In addition, the ambient lighting is also much better with added lighting areas around the cockpit. Both models come with various drive modes.
