The Tunland V9 is the second player in Foton’s duo of full-size pickup truck offerings here in the country. Like the Tunland V7, the V9 sports a very muscular and dominating size and appearance, the only difference being that the V9 is the more comfort-oriented version of the two trucks.
Powering the Tunland V9 is Foton’s 2.0-liter Aucan turbo-diesel engine, supported by a 48V mild-hybrid system. This powertrain combo gives the massive pickup truck a lot of power, 160 hp and 450 Nm of torque to be exact.
In terms of features, the Tunland V9 offers automatic climate control, a spacious 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, power-adjustable front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and luxurious leather upholstery. Additionally, they come equipped with Apple CarPlay and Carbit connectivity functionalities.

The Foton Tunland V9 as well as the Tunland V7 made their official entry into the Philippine market on April 4, 2024, at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show.
The Tunland V9 came available in 4x2 and 4x4 iterations. At launch, the Tunland V9 range started at P1,788,000.00 for the 4x2 AT variant and topped out at P1,998,000.00 for the range-topping 4x4 AT.

Under the hood of the Tunland V9 is a 2.0-liter Aucan turbo-diesel engine, augmented by a 48V mild-hybrid system. This powertrain delivers 160 hp and 450 Nm of torque with power transferred to the driven wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers are given the option of 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains with the Tunland V9 expanding its versatility for different applications.
Underneath, the Tunland V9 is built on a ladder-frame chassis giving it a rigid body and high cargo carrying capacity. As for the suspension, the Tunland V9 differs slightly as it rides on a double wishbone suspension up front paired with a multi-link suspension at the back to give it more comfort and stability, unlike the more rugged V7. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes on all four wheels which are 18-inch in size wrapped in 265/70 series tires.

While both the Tunland V9 and V7 are robust full-size trucks, the V9 presents a more traditional appearance, featuring horizontal headlights and a wide grille with fog lights positioned conventionally, flanking the lower sides of the bumper.
However, the Tunland V9's imposing presence isn't solely attributed to its design; its sheer size also plays a significant role. Measuring 5,541 mm in length, 2,030 mm in width, and 1,905 mm in height, the V9 boasts a substantial 3,355 mm wheelbase, generous ground clearance of 240 mm, and a curb weight of 2,200 kg.
