Known as the most iconic Jeep model in history, the Wrangler is available in both Unlimited (four-door) and two-door versions. Jeep Philippines launched the 2019 Wrangler Unlimited in the first quarter of 2019. There are a bunch of changes in the exterior but the legendary Jeep appearance is well-kept.
Among the notable changes in the exterior include the fender-mounted indicator lights, bumper design, and the grille slats are now have sharper corners. One of the highlights of the 2019 Wrangler Unlimited is the forward-folding windshield for a better off-roading experience.
The interior is heavily revamped with more straightforward dashboard design. the center air conditioning vents are leveled with the 5-inch Uconnect 3 touchscreen display. The dashboard is also painted with the same color of the body, while controls were rearranged on the center console. There’s also a new three-spoke steering wheel design that features a hollow vertical spoke on the bottom.
Amid the heavy changes in the exterior and interior, the engine bay receives a new power plant. The local-spec Wrangler Sport, Wrangler Unlimited Sport, Wrangler Rubicon, and Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon are all powered by a 2.0-liter I4 DOHC DI Turbo eTorque engine. This new turbo engine is capable of 268 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission has also been swapped for an 8-speed automatic.
Launch
The fourth-generation Jeep Wrangler made its global debut in late 2017. In 2019, Auto Nation Group launched the latest models in the Philippines. The Jeep Wrangler was offered at a starting price of P3,390,000 for the base model Sport variant and went up to P4,490,000 for the top-spec Unlimited Rubicon model. In 2021, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara variant was introduced with a price of P4,490,000.

Riding on a tried-and-tested ladder frame chassis, the Jeep Wrangler has a host of features that go beyond the normal engineering that most road cars demand. Designed and built to tackle some of the toughest terrains in the world, the model features a fully independent and heavy-duty suspension that is damped by gas shock absorbers. The SUV rolls on a set o 17-inch wheels that are 7.5 inches in width and can be finished in a multitude of styles and paint schemes.
The vehicle's engine is a 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four with a turbocharger that produces 268 hp and up to 400 Nm of torque. This engine is also mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the drivetrain features Jeep's very own Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD system. The model also features Dana M186 front axles, and Dana M200 rear axles for durability and confidence when tackling even the most arduous of journeys. All of its under-chassis components are also covered by a plethora of skid plates, that covers the transmission and transfer case among other things.

Technology Features
The Wrangler feature Jeep's Uconnect infotainment system, which can be had with either a 5-inch or 8.4-inch display. The higher models also get Apple CarPlay a 7-inch TFT color display instrument cluster that displays a variety of driving information. In addition, a rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines is available. There's also a 230-volt power outlet for charging gadgets on the go.

As expected from the Wrangler, it features Jeep's signature rugged looks. The Wrangler looks raring to go in any situation, be it on the highway or on the trail.
