Lexus LS Overview
The Lexus flagship saloon has always been a car regarded for innovation, refinement, and most of all dependability. Updated for the progressive competition, the new LS wears the brands' spindle grille face that shows other motorists with distinction that a Japanese luxo-barge has arrived. In order to create this statement, a daytime running light illuminates a soft-like glow that flows all throughout the lines of the grille. The modern, exquisite but functional, and modern exterior design departs from the conservative style of its predecessor. The interior is rich with modern technology for optimum comfort and driving experience. The seats features 28- and 22-way electrically adjustable seat configurations on the front and back, respectively. It also boasts a handful of safety features, such as Auto-Location Tire Pressure Warning System, complete airbag package, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Mechanically-proven internals starting with two options; the LS 500 with a 3.5L V6 putting out out 416 horses and the LS 500h with a combination of a 394-hp 3.5L V6 and a 177-hp permanent magnet electric motor. Well, the LS is truly a luxury sedan befitting for perfection.

Under the hood, the Lexus LS is available with two engine options. The first is a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline hybrid powerplant that has a total system output of 354 hp and is Euro 5 compliant. The hybrid model also is equipped with an electric motor that produces 177hp and 300 Nm of torque. It sends power to the rear wheels via a multi-stage hybrid transmission. The second option is a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine that produces 415hp and 600 Nm of torque. Just like the hybrid model, this variant is also Euro 5 compliant. It sends power to the rear wheels via a 10-speed direct-shift automatic transmission. The Lexus LS rides on an air suspension system that consists of a high mount multi-link front suspension at the front and multi-link set up at the rear. Stopping power comes from 18-inch brake discs at the front and 17-inch brake discs at the front. The sedan also comes with an 82-liter fuel tank.

The Lexus LS is well equipped when it comes to its tech features. It comes with the brand's Lexus Navigation system, a 12.3-inch EMV display with a remote touch interface, a Mark Levison QLI 24-speaker reference surround sound system, a digital signal processor with automatic sound leveler, Clari-Fi, Bluetooth with hands-free calling, wireless connection with AV-profile compliant player, rear-seat audio controls, and a mini-jack with USB connectivity. The sedan also comes with cruise control, a remote touch interface, steering wheel-mounted control switches, 6 Drive mode select that includes Normal/Eco/Sport/Sport+/ Comfort/ Custom, power tilt and telescopic steering column with auto-away and auto-return function, smart entry and start system, panoramic view monitor, auto and easy closer for the doors and trunk, and a power trunk lid with a motion sensor.

The Lexus LS carries the brand's distinctive design styling that gives the vehicle a long hood, large grille, and sleek headlights. Aside from this the flagship sedan also comes with windshield green glass with infra-red and ultraviolet protection, reinforced rear quarter door glass, a power moonroof, LED headlamps with LED sequential front turning signal lamps, LED taillamps, LED daytime running lights, front and rear LED foglamps and exterior side mirrors with aspherical electrochromic auto-dimming with turn lamps and memory function. The sedan also comes with 245/50 series tires and 19-inch wheels made from aluminum alloy. For the Premier variants, they get access to the front and rear acoustic glass with infrared and ultraviolet protection.

As the Lexus LS is the brand's flagship sedan it comes with the luxury afforded to it with its prestigious position. Customers can choose from several interior color options for regular and premier variants of the sedan along with other accent pieces such as glass and accent trims. As standard, the LS comes with wood interior trim with fabric illumination door ornament, wood, and leather steering wheel, LED interior lights, Lexus Climate Concierge, an auto air conditioning system with 4-zone independent temperature controls with Nano-e filters that remove pollen and odor, and a rear cooler. The premier mode also gets access to ottoman rear seats that come with an expansion mechanism along with a seat massage function for the front and outboard and rear seats.

For safety features, the Lexus LS comes with the brand's latest and most comprehensive feature set. This means that the sedan comes with a full complement of airbags that cover the driver and front passenger, knee airbags, side airbags, curtain shield airbags, rear-seat side airbags, and rear cushion airbags as well. On top of this, the LS also has ABS, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, electronic power steering, Lexus parking assist system with a rearview camera, Lexus parking assist with 10 sensors, High rigid body structure with front and rear crumple zones, pedestrian protection performance, Bridgestone run-flat tires, 4-point pop-up hood, and an auto location tire pressure warning system.
