The all-new Peugeot 2008 is a 5-seat compact crossover with a strong, stylish, and trendy design, featuring practicality and a comfortable driving experience, combining the best of both worlds. It has pronounced wheel arches that give it an appealing road presence, while black bumpers and body sills serve to protect the vehicle from abrasions with the addition of front and rear body protection, as well as the side moldings in stainless steel. Meanwhile, the LED daytime running lights add a sophisticated touch to an elegant package. Inside, the 2008 features Peugeot’s i-Cockpit concept. It offers a commanding view of the road, together with elevated dials and a compact steering wheel that emphasizes road feel. The 2008 also offers an impressive, high central console and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment interface. Meanwhile,the modular rear seats allow for 360 liters of cargo space with the seats up or 1,194 liters when folded down. The all-new 2008 is powered by a 1.2 liter PureTech gasoline engine, apart from the its predecessor's 1.6 liter. This powerplant allows for a spirited driving experience, while keeping emissions low and fuel-efficiency high.
Launch
The Peugeot 2008 was launched in May of 2022 during the Manila International Auto Show. It was displayed along side the rest of the Peugeot lineup. It was launched with one variant available and four color options.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
The Peugeot 2008 is powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder gasoline engine. It produces 130hp and 230 Nm of torque. It sends power to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. It comes with disc brakes all around and independent suspension as well. It rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 215/60 series tires.
