If you are looking for a family hauler or are still on the fence about which vehicle to choose, maybe you should check out Nissan’s offerings in our market.
The Japanese brand in the Philippines offers a range of vehicles for consumers looking for a practical four-wheeler, which includes crossovers, SUVs, MPVs, and pick-up trucks. Not only are they fuel-efficient, but feature-packed as well. Here are some of their models that you can consider as your next family vehicle.
Nissan Terra
Powered by the proven and reliable YD25 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, it packs a healthy 187 hp and 450 Nm of torque. It is not only fuel-efficient, but it is also easy to maintain as well. It has multi-link suspension in the rear, which makes for a comfortable ride, and features the brand’s Nissan Intelligent Mobility system. This system grants the vehicle access to an around-view monitor, forward collision warning, intelligent emergency braking, lane departure warning, driver alertness, blind spotting warning, hill start, and hill descent control, making for a safe SUV for long journeys with your family.
Those that want the Nissan Terra but need the versatility of a pick-up truck can consider the Navara. It packs the punchy 2.5-liter four-cylinder YD25 turbo-diesel in the Terra and the same D23 platform that makes for a comfortable ride. Safety and convenience are also managed by the Nissan Intelligent Mobility system found in the Terra. The Navara is also one of the only pickup trucks in the Philippines to come equipped with coil springs for its rear suspension. Not only does Nissan’s setup allow it to be more comfortable compared to leaf-sprung pickups, but it can still perform with a payload capacity that matches other models.
Nissan Livina
Nissan might be late to the MPV party, but the Nissan Livina deserves a look. It has a fuel-efficient 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine making 103 hp and 141 Nm of torque, which may not sound like a lot but is more than adequate for your daily duties and outings with the family. It has space and a host of safety features such as a hill start assist, a reverse camera, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, and rear parking sensors. Thanks to its unibody chassis, it is also refined and easy to drive, and paired with a unique design, it is stylish as well.
Nissan Kicks
Looking for something a wee bit smaller than those mentioned should check out the Kicks. There is more than meets the eye with this crossover due to its e-Power technology which is heralded by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine, which is only used to power its electric drivetrain. The main source of propulsion comes from the electric motor that brings in 134 hp and an impressive 280 Nm of torque. Thanks to the electric drivetrain, you can expect near-instantaneous response which makes for easy acceleration and overtaking as well as great fuel economy. It also comes with three driving modes, eco, normal, and sport that change the throttle response and power delivery. Of course, this being a Nissan, it also comes with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility system for added safety and peace of mind. You also get the added convenience of coding exemption due to its electrified powertrain.
