What if your new car could help the environment directly? BYD Cars Philippines and Ayala Land have teamed up to plant a tree for every car sold.
BYD Cars Philippines has announced its collaboration with Ayala Land Incorporated by joining the ACMobility ACRE Movement, which involves planting a tree for every vehicle sold by BYD, starting this July. The partnership was formalized last July 19 through a signing ceremony between executives from both companies.
Toti Zara, Head of Automotive Retail Distribution of ACMobility, shared that this partnership is an extension of BYD's pledge to sustainable practices and aims to actively involve customers in these efforts. He stated that this collaboration with Ayala Land not only aligns with BYD's environmental goals but also improves the value for customers.
“At the heart of BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility is changing the way you move by driving sustainability and embracing social responsibility. ACMobility’s distributorship of BYD allows it to enjoy the unique advantages of Ayala Corporation’s sustainability efforts. Through this partnership with Ayala Land, we are also introducing to our customers the value of sustainability that validates their decision to purchase a BYD."

Robert S. Lao, Chief Sustainability Officer at Ayala Land, outlined that the collaboration supports their mission to create sustainable communities. Ayala Land has allocated resources to developing carbon forests, which are important in absorbing carbon dioxide and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Lao stated that BYD's electric vehicles fit Ayala Land's eco-efficiency goals well.

BYD Cars Philippines is getting more involved in green initiatives and is pushing its new energy vehicles (NEVs) even more. BYD is already a big name in the NEV world and is working to be one of the leading car brands worldwide by 2024. The company has seen success in its home market and is working on expanding globally in the electric vehicle industry.
