BYD’s official local distributor, Solar Transport and Automobile Resources Corporation (STAR Corp.), has announced their partnership with the National Car Rental Philippines. Under the said partnership, the car rental company will have the BYD L3 as a new addition to their lineup.
National Car Rental Philippines was impressed by the L3’s 1.5L gasoline engine and 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission on its GS-i variant. But most of all, they say that the L3’s spacious cabin would give their clients a more comfortable ride. The vehicle also features a 7-inch touch screen entertainment system with tuner/CD/DVD/AUX/USB/SD card support, front and rear reading lamps, leather seats, and power sunroof.
Its drivers will likewise benefit from things like smart keyless entry, push-button engine start/stop, 6-way adjustable driver seat, and projector type halogen headlights.
Automakers consider car rental companies as helpful partners that provide potential customers an opportunity to test-drive the cars. The BYD L3 is very spacious and comfortable. It also has some of the best safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, anti-theft system/engine immobilizer, rear parking radars, and side impact beams to name a few,” said BYD Philippines Managing Director Mark Andrew Tieng.
National Car Rental Philippines President Michael Rafael H. de Castro was also quoted as saying, “Our clients range from local individuals to top business firms and international reservations. Our goal is to deliver and provide quality vehicles and services. BYD’s L3 compact sedan will be perfect for our clientele most especially the growing local Asian market and other business owners alike.”
The National Car Rental Philippines has been in the rent-a-car business since 1978. Founded by Architect Cresenciano de Castro and a group of reputable businessmen, they offer airport transfer, pick-up and drop-off services, chauffeur-driven daily car rental, self-driven car rental, and company auto leasing.
As of late, the brand is owned and operated by Enterprise Holdings, Inc., a US-based transportation business firm which also handles other auto rental companies like Alamo Rent A Car and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
