The Hyundai Accent has been a true benchmark of efficiency without the sacrifice of sufficient power, making it a certified bestseller for Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc.(HARI) On a span of two years, its fifth-generation finally reaches the local market, with a freshly crafted interior and exterior.
Assumingly, many may have invested so much anticipation with the said model, and perhaps with the lack of official prices, interested buyers are left with more questions than answers.
Thankfully, our good friends from Hyundai were able to provide us a valid list of official prices for the all-new Accent, segregated by variant.
Therefore, below are the prices of the all-new subcompact sedan as follows:
- Accent 1.4 GL MT w/o Airbags - P750,000
- Accent 1.4 GL MT w/ Airbags - P798,000
- Accent 1.4 GL AT w/o Airbags - P798,000
- Accent 1.4 GL AT w/ Airbags - P850,000
- Accent 1.6 CRDI GL MT (DSL) - P870,000
- Accent 1.6 CRDI GL AT (DSL) - P998,000
Buyers are given the choice to choose among two engine options. First is the 1.4-liter Kappa engine that puts out 99 hp and 132 Nm of torque, and second is the 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engine that puts out 128 hp and 260 Nm of torque, which happens to be a popular choice among Accent buyers. Both could be paired with either a traditional 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic if you prefer that added convenience while cruising.
So, how do you guys find the prices so far? Was the Accent worth the wait? Perhaps on our standpoint, it’s better late than never. With its flexible choice of transmission and engines plus a newly appointed exterior and interior styling, this all-new model should probably carry the success of its predecessor and continue being the bread and butter of the brand.
