Mitsubishi introduces its latest innovation, the D:X Concept, a captivating electrified crossover MPV that aims to ignite the inner adventurer in drivers and deliver excitement for all occupants on board. This vehicle is not just a glimpse into the future; it also carries the essence of the forthcoming Delica.
The exterior design of the D:X Concept draws inspiration from Mitsubishi's MPV heritage, featuring robust over fenders and imposing, large-diameter tires that exude a sense of power. The front fascia, following the Dynamic Shield design concept, has been evolved to create an integrated shield that extends protectively from the sides. Front and rear skid plates, along with side sill protectors, further enhance the vehicle's rugged appearance.
In the realm of lighting, the D:X Concept is equipped with projection laser lights forming a distinctive T-shape, which extends to both ends, visually widening the vehicle and providing excellent road illumination. This illumination not only brightens the road ahead but also grants the driver an accurate assessment of road conditions, ensuring confidence even on narrow roads.
Inside, the D:X Concept's "mono box" interior layout ensures ample space for all passengers. Panoramic seats offer rotation and vertical movement, while the front window and see-through hood provide a spacious and open field of vision, creating an almost aerial cockpit experience. The see-through hood is also versatile, capable of displaying various information, such as road surface conditions and the front tire turn angle.
Mitsubishi has collaborated with Yamaha to develop a cutting-edge sound system for the D:X Concept, providing a rich auditory experience. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with an AI voice assistant, enhancing the connectivity and convenience of the ride.
On the performance front, the D:X Concept incorporates Mitsubishi's S-AWC system, a cornerstone of the electric 4WD system. This technology ensures precise handling for the driver while delivering a comfortable and stable ride for passengers.
The D:X Concept employs an environmentally friendly PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) system, designed to offer a thrilling driving experience. It encompasses an EV mode for daily commuting and a hybrid mode for longer journeys. Drivers can select different driving modes to suit the circumstances, ensuring the vehicle is always ready for various adventures.
All in all, the Mitsubishi D:X Concept encapsulates the brand's commitment to innovation, offering a harmonious blend of cutting-edge technology, eye-catching design, and versatile driving modes. It's a futuristic and electrified vision of the Delica, ready to kindle the spirit of adventure in drivers and cater to the desires of every passenger.
