Triton isn’t obviously not tri-ing anymore, it’s winning. The Mitsubishi Triton was named Best Design in the Standard Pick-Up Truck category at this year’s Auto Focus Media’s Choice Awards (AFMCA). The award is judged by a group of motoring media professionals and was created to give recognition to car brands and models that stand out in the market. This win highlights how the Triton continues to catch attention with its looks and function, even a year after its launch in the Philippines.
The Triton has become known for its rugged look and everyday use. It's made for different types of drivers, those who need a truck for work and those who want something that can handle trips out of town. Its strong front end, wide body, and bold styling make it stand out on the road. The front features Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design, sharp-looking headlights, and bright daytime running lights. The T-shaped taillights at the back are easy to spot, and the 18-inch alloy wheels and sports bar add to the truck’s ready-for-anything look.

Aside from its looks, these features also add to what the Triton can do. The wider stance helps with balance, the lights improve visibility, and the added design pieces give better function for loading and outdoor use. Mitsubishi says the Triton was built to work hard and look good while doing it.
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) President and CEO Ritsu Imaeda shared that this award shows how the Triton fits many uses, from city roads to rougher paths. He also mentioned that the Triton’s mix of design, function, and driving feel makes it a good fit for drivers looking for a pick-up that does more than just basic tasks.
With this award, MMPC hopes to bring more attention to the Triton and continue growing its place in the local pick-up truck market. The company also plans to keep offering trucks and vehicles that give Filipino customers the features they need for work and everyday driving. Who says trucks can’t clean up nicely?
