Last year, we were treated to an updated Mitsubishi Mirage G4. Back in August of last year, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s (MMPC’s) best-selling model in the country received a rather handsome makeover which included a new front fascia and a host of modern features. It was received well and to further enhance the model’s desirability, a new limited edition variant has been added to the lineup: The Mirage G4 GLS Sport.

MMPC has further refined the exterior look of the Mirage G4 with this limited edition with a body kit that includes an under-grille garnish with a chrome line, a front air dam, a rear air dam, a rear lip spoiler, and a side air dam. At least in terms of the exterior, this is the biggest change that customers can expect from the subcompact sedan, and it enhances the look of the Mirage G4 without creating too much visual noise. Mitsubishi Philippines states that the body kit is a “subtle yet thoughtful exterior enhancement,” which is a statement that we are inclined to agree with.
As for its other specifications, the vehicle still comes with its standard 7-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as other interior refinements that give drivers and passengers a modern driving experience.
Otherwise, everything is the same in the rest of the lineup. The Mirage G4 still comes with the brand’s tried and tested 1.2-liter inline-three-cylinder motor that produces 76 hp and 100 Nm of torque mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Being the top of the line GLS trim, customers are also treated to keyless entry, an engine push-start system, welcome home and coming home lights, and it even gets a two-year free preventive maintenance service (PMS) package with a sanitation service as standard for every purchase until the end of February 2022.
“We make a conscious effort to listen to our market and pair it with continuous product development. These help us better understand and live up to the expectations of our Filipino customers. The Mirage G4 has always been an embodiment of dynamism, which is why we fondly associate it to be ‘Game For Anything’ much like the personality of its owner. With this newest iteration, Mitsubishi wishes to reach out to every type of customer that there is. We want to give them options that best represent their individuality so they get to experience what we mean by ‘Life Made Better’.”
Only 300 units of the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS Sport will be available in the Philippines, and it will retail for P929,000. Three colors will be available as well, which include TItanium Gray Metallic, Red Metallic, and Cool Silver Metallic.
