Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s (MMC) timing couldn’t be better as they turned over 5 Outlander PHEVs and 5 i-MiEVs to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) during the opening day of the 1st ASEAN Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Summit.
The Outlander PHEVs (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) and the i-MiEV electric vehicles will be used for a joint study between the DENR and MMC in regards to environmental load reduction using electric technologies. In simpler terms, MMC’s project focuses on reducing CO2 emissions in the Philippines.
Aside from the eco-friendly vehicles, MMC also handed over 4 electric vehicle quick charger units to DENR.
“The delivery of these vehicles and charger units is a vote of confidence in the electric technologies of Mitsubishi Motors. We are pleased to be playing our part in helping reducing emissions in partnership with the DENR in the Philippines.”
As mentioned, the turn over ceremony was held at the 1st ASEAN Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Summit, which will run until today, June 30, 2017.
