Toyota’s been killing it in the hybrid game lately, launching HEV versions of a wide selection of its popular models. And now, for the 2024 model-year, Toyota’s done it again by refreshing the model that made hybrid technology accessible to a wider audience. The new refreshed Toyota Corolla Cross now comes as a hybrid-only model, and it’s quite the enticing bit of kit.

Let's check out the new style first. The updated Corolla Cross has had a bit of a facelift upfront, with less shiny stuff, fresh headlights, and a revamped grille. The cool new look is only on the non-GR-S models, but the GR-S version does get some slick sequential turn signals that give it a sportier vibe.
So, as I mentioned earlier, Toyota's only offering the Corolla Cross as a hybrid now. If you're after a non-hybrid in this size range, you'll need to look elsewhere. It is, however, still rocking the same hybrid setup as before, with a 1.8-liter gas engine and an electric motor teaming up for a combined 121 hp.
Now, onto the techie stuff. The refreshed Corolla Cross packs some impressive features, like a large 10-inch touchscreen that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. That means you can easily hook up your phone for a better ride without taking your eyes off the road. Safety-wise, it's got you covered with Toyota's Safety Sense system, bringing along features like pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist.
If you go for the GR-S variant, you're treated to a fancy 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while the V version gets a seven-inch screen with analog dials. The base G model, meanwhile, has a 4.2-inch display, also with analog gauges.

Here's the pricing breakdown for the Toyota Corolla Cross lineup:
- Toyota Corolla Cross GR-S HEV: P1,917,000
- Toyota Corolla Cross V HEV: P1,763,000
- Toyota Corolla Cross G HEV: P1,498,000
Keep in mind, if you opt for Emotional Red 2, there's an extra P5,000 charge. And if you prefer the Platinum White Pearl color, it'll cost you an additional P15,000. Whatever color you choose, you can't go wrong with the new Corolla Cross Hybrid.
