It seems Toyota Motor Philippines wants to be the leader of sustainable mobility in the country as the automaker has just confirmed that it will be launching another hybrid vehicle to its local lineup.
As it currently stands, the automaker already has a wide selection of hybrid vehicles to choose from, these range from the Corolla Altis, Corolla Cross, and the recent addition of the Camry Hybrid. With that said, Toyota has confirmed that it will be launching the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid in February of this year. This will also make it the second crossover to have a hybrid variant with the first being the Toyota Corolla Cross.
The rapid succession of Toyota’s HEV model introductions in the country is an indicator that Hybrid cars are now mainstream. Filipinos are ready for energy-efficient mobility options with less emissions, and Hybrids offer choices that are practical and ready to use in our existing infrastructure and road conditions.

While the official specifications for the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid are still unknown the pricing for the crossover has been released. It will cost you P2,157,000 to get which is an increase of about P190,000 over its non-hybrid XLE model.
We expect the crossover to carry more exciting technologies such as Toyota’s advanced safety features, the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, and even a little more power under the hood. It might even have a couple of exterior differences from the currently available models to help distinguish that it is a Hybrid aside from its badging.
The official launch date has yet to be announced, so for now, we will have to wait and see what Toyota has planned for the Hybrid crossover as it also has other models set to launch within the first quarter of the year.
