The 2017 Chevrolet Trax broke out of its covers at this year's Manila International Auto Show – and it looks entirely different as compared to the current local-spec model. However, this is just a preview and Chevrolet PH has yet to announce the official launch of the updated Trax.
Among the brand's lineup at the show, and aside from the all-new Spark, Chevrolet displayed the almost unrecognizable Trax. The updated subcompact crossover now boasts a pair of peering headlights, similar to the ones on the 2017 U.S. spec models Cruze, Volt, and Malibu. Apart from this, it features a dual port grille or its signature 'bowtie grille,' where the logo sits enclosed at the upper opening.
In the cabin, the chrome-trimmed head unit features a new 7-inch diagonal touch screen, which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The instrument cluster, on the other hand, features a redesigned gauge with a combination of analogue speedometer and digital information display. The car also gets a 4G LTE connection for added technology, as well as a smart key open and start function.
Moving on to its power rating, the 2017 Chevrolet Trax is equipped with a turbocharged 1.4L engine. This powerplant is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and produces 138 hp and 200 Nm of torque.
