Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
The Shark 6 DMO rides on a robust ladder-frame chassis, engineered for both durability and comfort. Power comes from a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine paired with dual electric motors—one on each axle—giving it an advanced all-wheel-drive system. This hybrid setup provides a combined output of 430 hp and 650 Nm of torque, allowing for strong towing capability and excellent off-road performance. It also features BYD’s Blade Battery, offering an electric-only range of up to 100 km, while the hybrid system extends total driving range to upwards of 800 kilometers.
Technology Features
Inside, the Shark is packed with modern technology, including a large rotating infotainment touchscreen powered by BYD’s DiLink system. The truck supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with over-the-air (OTA) updates for continuous software improvements. It also features a digital instrument cluster, a premium sound system, and a 220V external power outlet, making it ideal for outdoor adventures.
